Shortstop Derek Jeter blasted 2 homeruns at the ballpark where the Jefferson
Park Penguins beat the floundering Burbank Tigers by the score of 10 to
3.

Jeter was a one-man wrecking crew. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 3rd
inning, lined a single in the 5th inning and electrified the crowd with a
Grand Slam home run (his 14th of the season) in the 6th inning. Jefferson
Park finished with 12 hits while Burbank ended up with 5.

Randy Johnson(19-5) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Todd Wellemeyer
recorded the save, his 2nd. Noah Lowry(6-14) was charged with the loss. He
got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.

'Jeter led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Johnson
said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
